The AceHTML File Manager lets you work on files, as you would in Windows Explorer. Moreover, it has dynamic software functions that facilitate document management. File Manager lets you:
View the structure of system directories;
Copy and move files and/or documents using the pop-up menu or drag-and-drop;
See an overview of the selected file, particularly useful in the case of HTML documents, images and sounds;
View information on file size, along with the date of the most recent modifications;
Search by criteria, to find the desired files;
Display a list or detailed list of files (in the window) or show files as small or large icons.
View desktop elements.
The Manager is displayed in the Resources window by default. You can also superimpose it on the Edit Window.
To open the File Manager:
Click on the File Manager
icon located on on the Standard AceHTML toolbar.
You can also use the shortcut F2 (Refer to list of shortcuts).
Following is a brief description of the icons found in the File Manager:
The Recent Folder button displays the list of folders recently consulted. The option Clear List lets you reset the function. | |
The Parent Folder button lets you view the file structure. | |
The New Folder button lets you create a new folder in the current directory. | |
The Delete button lets you delete the selected file or folder. | |
The View button displays the list of various folder display modes. | |
The Preview button lets you view an image or the contents of a selected file. | |
The Show Folder Tree button displays the folder structure, as in Windows Explorer. | |
Insert Link |
This button lets you insert an external link in the current document:
AceHTML will insert a reference to the following file at the specified location: <a href="top.html">text</a> |
Insert Image |
AceHTML will insert a reference to the following file at the specified location: <img src="image.gif" border="0" width="25" height="25"> |
Containing |
This zone lets you specify a search object. If the search object consists of several words, insert them in quotation marks. |
Modified |
This zone is used to search only those files that were added in a specified interval. |
Search |
The button lets you search for a file that meets the criteria you included in the Text or properties zone. |
New Search |
The New Search button lets you cancel previous search criteria and use default values to do a new search. |
